Alan put his heart and soul into his decades of work in the automotive industry, turning Proactive Training Solutions into an authority on automotive sales training. We are proud to carry that legacy forward.

Alan found himself working in the car business after his honorable discharge from the United States Marine Corps in 1985. He wore many hats in the dealership and moved up the ranks starting in sales and working his way up to general sales manager of what at the time was one of the top dealership’s in the country. Alan was frustrated by seeing other salespeople waiting outside on the lot waiting for ups and knew that there were exponentially more opportunities he could uncover by leveraging inbound inquires as well as the dealership’s database. This inspired him to create a curriculum to train salespeople on how to proactively bring customers into the showroom.

In 1991, Alan founded Proactive Training Solutions and has since trained thousands of salespeople and managers using common sense techniques that they can easily apply and propel their careers forward. He believed in a hand up rather than a handout with an ultimate goal of giving managers and staff the tools to succeed and elevate their lives.

Alan was great – not only as a brother but to inspire people to be better. We want to honor Alan and continue to help dealers succeed and build upon the foundations that he established. The best way for us to honor him is to utilize the training and become true sales professionals and managers. As he always used to say, you don’t train to get done, you train to get good!
